LIBR 300 THE INFORMATION EXPERIENCE (3)

Focuses on exploring various forms and methods of information seeking, evaluation, and creation; anchoring research in professional and personal interests, developing ideas supported by evidence, engaging in iterative peer-to-peer review with an emphasis on critical theory and ethical issues in information science. Students who have successfully completed LIBR 100 will not receive additional credit for LIBR 300. Core: Ethical Issues & Perspectives.

LIBR 474 ADDRESSING HISTORICAL SILENCES: ORAL HISTORY AND TU'S HISTORY (3)

Examination and application of oral history as a research methodology to fill historical silences and create a more inclusive community history and memory. Introduction to archival practice, including building trust, documenting difficult topics, and describing non-textual historical records. Prerequisites: 3 units in HIST.
