EESE 423 CLINICAL EXPERIENCE I (3)
Clinical experience in a Maryland school classroom under the on-site supervision of a mentor teacher and with support from a faculty member. Experience is aligned with program curricula that encompass the curricula of the intended licensure area and includes documented observations and feedback. Clinical experience fee will be assessed. Prerequisites: major standing; consent of department.
EESE 424 CLINICAL EXPERIENCE II (3)

EESE 430 METHODS OF CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT AND COLLABORATION I (3)
Emphasizes foundational theoretical perspectives and practical interventions for behavior management and collaborative teaching. Open only to EESE majors. Prerequisite: Successful completion of Level II of the EESE major.
EESE 431 METHODS OF CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT AND COLLABORATION II (3)
Emphasizes application of theoretical perspectives and practical interventions for behavior management and collaborative teaching. Open only to EESE majors. Prerequisite: Successful completion of Level III of the EESE major.
EESE 443 CLINICAL EXPERIENCE III (9)
Clinical experience in a Maryland school classroom under the on-site supervision of a mentor teacher and with support from a university supervisor; aligned with program curricula that encompass the curricula of the intended licensure area and includes documented observations and feedback. Clinical experience fee will be assessed. Corequisite: EESE 484. Prerequisites: major status; department consent.
EESE 444 CLINICAL EXPERIENCE IV (9)
Clinical experience in a Maryland school classroom under the on-site supervision of a master teacher and with support from a university supervisor; aligned with program curricula that encompass the curricula of the intended licensure area and includes documented observations and feedback. Graded S/U. Clinical experience fee will be assessed. Prerequisites: department consent, major status.
EESE 474 INTERNSHIP I: SPECIAL EDUCATION (3)
Supervised part-time clinical experience in elementary/middle special education settings and seminar. Prerequisites: successful completion of Level I and II EESE program courses. Clinical experience fee will be assessed.
EESE 475 INTERNSHIP I: ELEMENTARY EDUCATION (3)
Supervised part-time clinical experience in elementary education settings and seminar. Prerequisites: successful completion of Level I and II EESE program courses. Clinical experience fee will be assessed.
EESE 476 INTERNSHIP II: SPECIAL EDUCATION (6)
Supervised full-time internship experience in which interns demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and dispositions necessary for successful teaching in special education settings (grades 1-8) at the elementary/middle school level. S/U grading. Prerequisite: EESE 474. Clinical experience fee will be assessed.
EESE 477 INTERNSHIP II: ELEMENTARY EDUCATION (6)
Supervised full-time internship experience in which interns demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and dispositions necessary for successful teaching in elementary education settings (grades 1-6). S/U grading. Prerequisite: EESE 475. Clinical experience fee will be assessed.
EESE 484 ELEMENTARY EDUCATION/SPECIAL EDUCATION SEMINAR I (3)
Seminar held in conjunction with and must be taken at the same time as EESE 443. Topics include theoretical and practical aspects of teaching; critical issues and topics; making the transition from professional pre-service teacher candidate to professional in-service teacher. Restricted to enrollment in Integrated Elementary Education-Special Education Program. Corequisite: EESE 443. Prerequisites: major standing; consent of department.
EESE 485 SEMINAR IN EESE (3)
Seminar supports requirements/expectations that are completed in EESE 476 Internship II. Topics include: theoretical and practical aspects of teaching; critical issues and topics; making the transition from professional pre-service intern to professional in-service teacher. Prerequisites: restricted to enrollment in Elementary Education - Special Education Program; prescribed courses for EESE majors.
