Advanced Placement
Advanced Placement (AP) Tests of the College Entrance Examination Board must be taken prior to beginning of their first term at Towson University. AP credit is subject to change mid-year. Please refer to the website for the standards used for determining advanced placement credit.
TU will only accept officially submitted test scores for credit within one year of the student’s enrollment. AP scores will be reviewed during the credit evaluation process. If scores are submitted after the final evaluation process, it is the responsibility of the student to contact the Admissions office for an additional review if it is within the eligible timeframe. Any test scores submitted after the student's first year may not be eligible for awarded credit. After the first year of enrollment, students must appeal to the Academic Standards Committee. AP policies are subject to change and AP credit is awarded based on the active policy at time of admission. It is highly recommended to submit scores as soon as possible as it can impact course scheduling. It is the student's responsibility to send official documentation for review.
